With a number of different adventurous activities upcoming in the near future, it is important to make sure that you have exactly the right kind of safety clothing to compete in these events near Perth.
Within any kind of team sport or athletic event, uniforms are an important part of the game or activity. What’s a soccer team without the proper kind of uniform? They may play well, but don’t have the public image or team confidence that they would, otherwise. Having a common outfit unifies a team so that they feel bonded enough to get the job done.
The same applies for any sport in which teams compete. In Western Australia and in the rest of the country and world for that matter, mudding is an athletic activity that is gaining in popularity.
Not for the faint of heart or body, mudding is an intense athletic experience that truly tests a person’s stamina, determination and physical prowess. Much more than just a marathon through the mud, the tracks in a typical mudding race are fully equipped obstacle courses with enough traps and pitfalls to challenge even the toughest and fastest.
There are two major events coming up soon for mudding. The first is the Western Mudd Rush, which takes place near Perth on August 17th and 18th. A pretty typical mudding experience, this race features a great number of different obstacles, including an ice bath, three-meter walls, monkey bars, and a powerful and unpredictable waterslide.
The second event is the Tough Mudder Perth Competition. This takes place October 26th and 27th, about an hour and a half drive outside of the city of Perth. This is definitely one of the most intense mudding events of the year that truly tests a person’s limits. With a course specifically designed by Great Britain’s Special Forces, it is guaranteed to push anyone to their breaking point.
Both of these events may seem far off in the future, but the reality is that they are sooner than you might expect. After all, time flies and preparations are definitely needed for an event of this calibre.
Of course, the first objective would be to pick your team. Mudding is a team sport and while individual times are calculated, it is the teamwork involved that will lead you to victory. Each team has four people on it, so knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your three other companions is helpful.
Some people pick their three best friends to join them in the metaphorical trenches of the mud course. However it is very popular to see teams composed of workers from the same company or members of the same social organisation.
If this is the case, then all four of the participants–you included–should be dressed in a customised team outfit. This brings up another preparation goal for these mudding races: deciding on a team uniform.
Just like any other sporting team–professional or not–your mudding team should have its own customised uniforms with screen printing and/or embroidery in the Perth races and in subsequent events. While you could decide on a simple type of outfit that fits your organisation’s colours, we would definitely recommend that customised uniforms are the way to go.
Think about it: Every professional sports team has its own logo, its team colours, and its own uniform. When that team is successful, people, or at least more people than usual, remember that logo and name and hold it in a place of honour.
The same applies to a company’s own team that competes in a mudding tournament and does well. People will remember the name and logo that’s branded on their outfits and associate them with success and victory.
If you wear your team’s name on your custom-made uniform and do well, you and your teammates would bring this same type of glory and remembrance to the organisation that you represent–be it a work team or not.
Even if you don’t win or place well, having a walking billboard on your outfit can help your team. A large portion of people from the Perth area and beyond will notice what you stand for and hopefully, remember the name.
