SportsFest is held each September over a long weekend – from a Friday to a Monday. The primary venue is the Leschenault Leisure Centre, located in Australind. There are other local spots around Australind, Bunbury and Eaton that also hold sporting events as part of SportsFest. Imagepak Marketing is the official team clothing supplier for the event.

There are different types of sports played by the youth during this long weekend. Net-based sports like badminton, volleyball, basketball and tennis are in the line-up as are bocce, archery, ultimate Frisbee, squash, indoor cricket and rugby, soccer, handball, softball, water polo and fishing. Some intellectual, non-contact pursuits are also part of this weekend and include chess, scrabble, quiz masters and Connect 4.
