83% of those polled said they enjoy receiving promotional items that contain advertising messages. 48% said they would like to receive more promotional items than they already receive. 38% said that promotional products are a constant reminder of the advertiser.
Think of what this means. Most people are resistant to all other forms of advertising. We tend to tune out billboards, signs and radio or TV ads. But people actually enjoy being given promotional items and almost half want even more.
One of the most often stated benefits of promotional items is that it promotes brand recognition. The fact that 38% see them as constant reminders of the company that gave the items to them proves that we are 100% correct in what we say. Those who responded to the poll were asked to remember a promotional product they had received within the previous two years. Then, they were asked to remember what the product was, who gave it to them and what message was on it.
